Cyclone Amphan: Assam Witnessed heavy Rain
As cyclone Amphan has moved towards north-northeast india with a speed of 10 KM per hour,Assam & many other northeastern states witness heavy rain from Thursday morning.
As cyclone Amphan has moved towards north-northeast with a speed of 10 KM per hour, Assam has been witnessing continuous rainfall from Thursday morning.
According to Regional Meteorological Centre in Guwahati, light to moderate rainfall at most places with heavy to very heavy , extremely heavy falls (≥20 cm) at isolated places have been expected in Assam and Meghalaya on Thursday.
Earlier on Wednesday Kamrup (Metropolitan) and Bongaigon district administration had issued a notice that the cyclone ‘Amphan’ may hit the district at any moment.
Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL), forest, telecom services, fire and emergency services, SDRF, PWD building and roads departments are on high alert.
