India’s longest river passenger ropeway is going to start in guwahati by April 2019.
Passenger Ropeway project connecting South and North Guwahati is under implementation for a project cost of Rs 56.08 crore.And it is scheduled to be completed by April,2019.
The total length of the ropeway is 1820 meter and it will have 2 terminal upper terminal and lower terminal.The facilities like Passenger handling area, ticket counter, parking facility, public convenience area will available in the terminal.Once completed, it will be India’s longest ropeway on river.
The cable car will have a capacity to carry 30 + 1 (Passengers + Operators).It will also have 70 cars & 80 two-wheelers in upper terminal and 100 cars & 80 two-wheelers in lower terminal.It will reduce the distance for people living in South guwahati and North Guwahati it will also help to boost tourism.
