Pakke Paga Hornbill Festival named after hornbills (‘Paga’ in the Nyishi language) the Pakke Paga Festival was proposed in 2014. The first edition of the festival was held in Seijosa, Arunachal Pradesh, in January 2015 and then later in 2017 and 2018.The 4th edition of the Pakke Paga Hornbill Festival 2019 will be held from January 18 to 20 at Seijosa in Pakke-Kessang district.

The festival is the lone conservation festival in the Arunachal pradesh which aims to conserve the wildlife, especially Hornbill, in Pakke Tiger Reserved Forest.

The three-day event will witness tourism-related activities like jungle safari, trekking, butterfly walk, river walk, bird watching, wildlife photography competition, elephant safari, historical site sightseeing, a workshop on the organic dye, traditional games and sports, etc.

the festival’s organizing secretary Basang Wahge informed that this year they have introduced Pakke Paga beauty pageant to involve youths in conservation efforts, banned musical bands, increased the number of nature guides, and will conduct wildlife photography competition.
