Tezpur University to host Northeast India’s biggest Science Festival

In order to strengthen science, technology and innovative activities in the state of Assam, Tezpur University is going to host Northeast India’s biggest science fest “The 2nd Assam Science Festival” from March 23 to 25, 2019 at the University premise.

The Assam Science Festival is being organised by Assam Science Technology & Environment Council, popularly known as ASTEC under the aegis of Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of Assam. This time the science fest is being organised by the council with the active support of Tezpur University.

“The purpose of the fest is to showcase Science, Technology and Innovative activities of various institutions”, said Dr. Sadhan Mahapatra, Senior Faculty member of the Dept. of Energy, TU and joint convenor of the fest.

“We are expecting good number of participation to showcase their ideas/innovations as well as many scientific exhibits like Drone, Robotics, Astrophotography etc. from various schools/institutions/departments”, Dr. Mahaparta added.

Any School/Institution/University from Assam can participate in this mega fest. Each exhibition stall will have dimension of 10X10 feet for the participating departments/institutions free of any cost. However, the participating departments/institutions can have their own internal decoration etc. at their own cost for the exhibits etc.

The fair is open for general people and science lovers and there are no entry or registration fee.
